As a man, I have one thing to say to young women:

Clearly define what you want, pursue it, and don't let others decide for you. Doing this will save you years of pain and regret. Whether its being a housewife or being a working professional, go ahead and chase after your desires. Also, distance yourself from people who negatively affect your life and don't have your best interests in mind.

I want a cabin in the woods, with a garden and a fireplace, away from everyone with the man I love

Started working at 14. When I got pregnant at the age of 26, my husband and I decided I would be a stay at home mom. Now, I grow the majority of our veggies for the year in a massive garden. I can and preserve foods and homeschool my 3 children.

I was raised to be both. My dad didn't want his little girls to depend on anyone. The same reason he taught us about basic vehicle maintenance. My mom on the other hand was a stay at home mom and taught us the importance of providing for the family from within the home. I think this is the reason why me and my siblings have been so comfortable switching between the 2 at different stages of our lives.

Once my two babies came along, I started staying home. Hubby worked/works to pay them bills and I kept the home front clean and going, kids back and forth to school, kids events, run errands. We had it running smooth.
Hubby kept the yard nice.
Now my babies are grown and at times, really miss them being small.
Being a trad wife was such a blessing and rewarding. Children are a labor of love.
Team work makes the dream work

Just because heaps of women don't want to work and would rather live on a farm doesn't mean they all do, the whole point of feminism was to give us the choice. Now everything's so fucking expensive that most people need a two person income to live comfortably. Yay capitalism 🎉

As someone who has suffered because my mom was forced to stay at home despite being highly qualified, i tell you, get your degree, get that job, just don't trust anyone to fulfill your basic needs, the world is hard

I think the nuance that needs to be added is: TO EACH THEIR OWN, some women thrive being boss babes, some women thrive staying at home, some women thrive owning a sheep farm, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE CHOICES IS OKAY AND VALID, the issue is shaming people for choosing one thing you might not have chosen for yourself

Brett Cooper is the Snow White we didn't know we wanted.

Moral of the story, grass is always greener on the other side mentality is strong. The boss life ain’t for everyone, neither is the house wife life for everyone. Find your peace, don’t hate on others, love yourself. Find what makes your grass greener ❤

To all the women wearing both hats: Life is messy. You're doing fine. Money maker and bread baker and whatever else needs doing.

I'm 29, raised to be a trad wife, I have 4 children. My husband stays home with the kiddos due to health reasons. I'm an assistant manager at a gas station. I don't make tons of money but life is truly amazing for us. We live in the country and find many ways to spend time as a family, I also get the ability to go and work and feel like I'm doing my part.

Some of us wanna be traditional wives, some of us don’t, it’s not because we’re biologically supposed to it’s because we’re all different people and we should all be treated as such.

Became an RN at 20, married with my first child at 23, now at 33 and 4 children later im done with the 12 hour abusive shifts and trying to balance home/kids/hubby. I dream of having a lavender field and being a bee keeper! Ugh! If only I didn’t listen to all the women in my life telling me I had to be a strong independent women.
