My own interpretation is that:
One night, a man called Husk found the land of the Mesa. He was originally a desert villager, but he wanted to move there. Friends and family said: No! You will betray the cultures of us.. but he insisted to moving. However, every night he went to the desert land to visit. Some villagers were aware of this; while others weren't. This continued until Husk noticed that there was a strange mutation in the oasis near the village. Husk tried to warn villagers of this, but others said it was holy water. Of course, people didn't listen to Husk, purely because they had never been attacked by zombies. Until, this strange mutation would take an effect on one of the wandering zombies.
The zombie drank a cup he found, unaware what this water was. He didn't even know it was water, and the concept of liquid was too complex. He tried spitting it out, something other zombies have never seen. However, the zombie put its finger in the cup and the cup was infected with the zombie's hands. The water now was even more strange and unknown. When morning came, a villager dumped this cup into the oasis, therefore infecting all of the water supply in the village. Many people began reporting signs of dementia, stupidity, and weird forms of skin infections. The water supply, however, was the only one they could have as this was presumed "Holy" by the elders. Husk tried warning the people of its effects, but the people shamed him. He even tried building a colony in the Mesa, but he failed. Husk tried warning others, even making examples and testing on different animals, however, The village people were not pleased. They had enough of his science, and exiled him to the nearby mushroom biome. Husk began crying, on how he can take revenge, until, a brown liquid fell from above. It formed a boat and he was able to sail to the Mesa and Desert land border to show his people the true meanings. However, the village people did not take kindly, until, a brown liquid poured over the oasis, and people began spreading rumours. Husk, was again, exiled to the middle of the ocean, where he could find no land. Husk died later that night.
The people found strange mutations in the water, but none could believe what they were seeing. The villagers transformed into zombies, and the villagers, unaware of how this could even happen, thought Husk had made this not knowing he had died 2 days ago. They were called "husks" and kept captive until further research. The villagers presumed that they could do research, but without Husk, it was pointless. The husks couldn't perceive any form of anything. They only felt a need to kill in intense sunlight, much like zombies. This need to kill arised the second the villagers left. The husks were too scared to enter the Mesa, though.
The husks killed villagers each day, and these villagers had to move to the Mesa, where, some villagers went to the ocean to find Husk. But on that day, many villagers died just before finding husk's body. Now it is said that Husk is the reason husks and drowned were created. However, nobody knows the sad, painful death of Husk.

good video as always, however modifications have to be made to fit with other theories.
first: this husk would have to be modified in some way, because I doubt something so specific would fit nicely with the other theories.
second: herobrine would have to have done this to get the modified husk, but it would have to be in a certain Corrupted Area as I have mentioned before. that is the only place where herobrine can exist.
