Spice Up Your Mobile Menu Designs (use GenerateBlocks inside of your GeneratePress menu!)

When it comes to the mobile menu options inside of GeneratePress, I’ve always been a big fan of the slide-in off-canvas option.

But the options in the customizer alone leave the menus feeling just a tad boring.

Now, I’m not making the case that your mobile menu should be some extravagant or elaborate design — but I do think going from this, to this is a huge improvement.

In fact, I recently did this on a client project, and I think it ended up being my favorite part of the entire website!

And thankfully, it’s really easy to do with just a couple GeneratePress elements and one CSS rule.

So, if you’re interested in spicing up your mobile menus, stick around, and let’s get into it!

HI Kyle, great tutorial. I followed all instructions, including the CSS and the hook properties. Somehow the element is not showing in the off-canvass menu. Is there somewhere I should retrace to isolate the issue. Many thanks.

Excellent timing! I've just added it to the current site I'm doing. I had a great tall thin photo but couldn't work out where I could use it because of the aspect ratio. It's now a background for the mobile menu - thanks!

Hello Kyle, I hope you are doing well. I have a question and it is if that same menu that you have created for a mobile can be used to create a vertical header for PC? I have tried to find a tutorial on how to recreate a vertical Menu or header in GeneratePress without the use of Elementor or other plugins but I have had no luck and I was wondering if you could recreate a vertical menu just using GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kyle. Thank you for making the GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks tutorials.

Can you make a tutorial to enhance the look of the search icon on GeneratePress?

Because we know for ourselves that the appearance of the search icon on GeneratePress is very basic. Maybe made like a Kadence Theme.

Thank you. :)
