It's kinda funny that most people think of the "wild west" being such a long time ago. But if they think about when they expect the wild west to be it was still the wild west of the Mississippi River basin states. Along with cap and ball firearms being commonly used. Many that lived in the "wild west" times that cowboy shows were based on passed away in 60s, 70s and 80s.
