It’s even more horrifying when realize afton wasn’t a stranger to Charlie. We don’t know how close he and Henry were but at the very least he was her dad’s longtime business partner, there’s no way she didn’t know him as a sort of family friend. Can you imagine? Your locked out in the rain, scared, alone, no one will let you back inside and out of the dark your dad’s work partner (or even uncle figure) approaches you and for a moment you think “oh that’s strange” but your just so relieved he’s here, and then you see the knife. I mean the horror and fear of that moment is talked about a lot but can you imagine the BETRAYAL??
