This short film is an international female routesetters' love letter to the development of routesetting and the spaces we inhabit. A feature for anyone who has ever felt like they do not belong in routesetting or a climbing space.

Come as you are- a film of female routesetters to empower and increase visibility. 6 international routesetters were invited to work, play and exchange ideas for two days at Elys boulderloft in Basel, Switzerland.

The video is talking alot about professionalization of routesetting meaning higher (or even fair) pair, social security, acknowledgment/ appreciation. I fully agree - routesetting is no longer males-only setting boulder for a gym entry - its a professional job from professionals. But we as routesetters should also act as professionals - which also means ear- and eyeprotection which I miss in this video (and in alot of other media aswell)

I was at my local hall this afternoon, admiring the lovely new wall set by a team which had 2 female setters. It is very encouraging to see women setting and I would love the opportunity to someday try this. I imagine the setters need to be climbing past an intermediate level in order to do this?
