Men's Doubles 🏸 Badminton Gold Medal Match | Tokyo Replays

Chinese Taipei's Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin won the badminton men's doubles Olympic gold medal by beating Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen from China 21-18 21-12 at the Tokyo Games.

I'm such a big fan of Taiwan team .
Tai Tzu Ying is the main reason why followed Taiwan team.
Early this year I officially became Lee/Wang fan when they won the Triple Event in Bangkok.

Now, they went to Tokyo to claim their biggest achievement- Olympic Gold Medal.

What a brilliant tournament it has been for Lee and Wang.

They beat Kevin Gideon during their 1st round matches; it was the most important match, had they lost to them, they would have already been eliminated. Considering the amount of pressure they were in, add the fact that Kevin and Gideon are the World number 1, its amazing to think that they were able to beat them during that match.

In the Quarter finals, they managed to beat yet another big pair; Watanabe Endo.. and they kept their momentum in the semis by beating the well-experienced Ahsan Hendra in just some 30 minute game.


In this final, they had a very slow start.
It was evident that they were nervous especially in the 1st half of 1st set.
But at 14-14 when they finally back leveled,
They got into their rhythm and eventually win the 1st set.

During the 2nd set, they played extremely well and confident.
I think this has been the most exciting Olympics in Men's Doubles of modern badminton.

I mean, unlike in the previous generations when it was only dominated by 1 or 2 countries


Now, we can see different flags being raised in the podium.
