I think you also have to put into account the context of this song to really fully appreciate her version. This song is basically Eva Peron’s speech, so she’s kind’a singing super pristine and poised like a politician. I think you have to know the story to understand Lea’s choices in this performance.

I quite like the fact that she chose to put the emphasis on “I” rather than “Never” bc the character has made some selfish decisions throughout the play. It’s a very subtle hint, but shifts the narrative fully.

For me i like her the best ..she is exceptional of all the broadway singer artist there for me ..i just love her way..goosebumps..i guess shes one of the original that no one can copy her or more good than her .some originl artist of their own songs, is when someone make a version of it, some version is much better than the original..
