Government actions in response to COVID have caused these harms to children.

It's not just school closures that affect children. My kids were more affected by closures of sport and music/art activities. I understand that because I'm stay at home mom and medical doctor it's easier for me to take care of kids' education and we'll being. My kids can see their friends outside at the community park, but being unable to attend their usual activities affected them as physically as emotionally

Kids are afraid of new lockdowns while some of their parents protest against measures that should be common sense for an adult. Truly tragic.

Children are right to be afraid of lockdowns because being at home all the time on the computer doing online learning is not good for their physical and mental health. They want to have a social life and meet their friends.

Life is not always happy time. It can be unfair, cruel, and short. None of these kids live in a war zone, or have limited access to fresh water. We have lots to be grateful for, get some perspective.

Parents who love their children welcome the opportunity to, at last, teach their own children at home. Parents who are lacking in full responsibility toward their children look for ways to get the children out of the house.

Did I really just hear a top tip for parenting of spending FIVE MINUTES of quality time with your child??? If that's quality time, just don't have children! I was still reeling from the sight of all the toddlers standing in front of the screen watching a teacher. At that age? Why haven't they got some toys out or someone sitting them on their lap reading a story? Like people have done with toddlers since the dawn of time...

Is it only me that can hear the nose of the presenter while he breaths and waits for the guest to talk? XD

Well that is why should live with the risks anyway (And life is full of risks) because the impact on daily life is too high. Poor kids how should they could handle it when someone close to them dies which is gonna happen sooner or later even if there was no corona. A false perspective of life is what you are giving them

No. Stop blaming a virus for education problems. The virus is incapable of creating oppressive mandates.

Parents should not scare kids of Covid instead teach about science behind pandemic, viruses, healthy and safety etc.

I want to remind everyone that this will be a shared experience for all of these kids. Up and down the economic ladder all over the world kids are not getting to go to school, and our experiencing the anxieties related to a pandemic, and it's a shared experience that has much more possibility to unite and enhance this generation, through universal recognition of our common humanity, than it does to diminish them. The people who got sick and the people who were unable to access healthcare because of all these selfish, faithless folk clogging up the healthcare system will be the ones who experience lasting damage from the pandemic. I say this because of all the generations that have survived and thrived after previous pandemics

Why are they making it look like kids desperately want to go to school, I know when I was a kid I did not like school, I would love to stay at home .

Anybody who spends too much time indoors sooner or later will have emotional issues. Modern life tents to favor indoors staying but the quarentine has made it worse. Kids need to be playing outdoors for their physical and mental health.

It is crazy to think that kids will learn worse, just because they are at home.
