Congratulations Sid on playing your 1, 000th NHL game. As a Caps fan I have hated Crosby but have always respected him for both on and off the ice. He is not only a hall of fame player but has been a great ambassador for the game of hockey and one of the faces of the NHL since coming into the league. It seems not too long ago that Sid reaching 1, 000 games was not a sure thing. Glad he was able to come back and continue his hall of fame career. Great ceremony by the Pens organization as well, not that I would expect anything less from an organization lead by Mario Lemieux. Congrats again, Sid.
