Hands On With Parental Controls in iOS 12

With Screen Time, Apple has introduced a robust set of parental control options in iOS 12, giving parents a way to monitor and limit the amount of time children are spending on their iOS devices, within specific apps, and more.

Screen Time works via Family Sharing, so as long as your children are part of your Family in the Family Sharing settings, you'll be able to view and control their Screen Time options.

My mom found out about this. She also selected block device at downtime. It’s from 11:15pm to 6:30am. Omg my life is so over!

Ugh if this weren’t a thing The I wouldn’t be secretly finding a way to turn it off for a while download things then turn I back on!!!! I would tell my mom or ask her first in person or text her!!! And I would be fine with it!

Mad disrespect to apple for doing this. If a child needs this many restrictions on their apple device, they probably shouldn't have the responsibility of even owning one in the first place. I am 16 years old and I found out my dad recently put this on my phone. There aren't any restrictions quite yet but I discovered this was implemented two days ago and I'm sure the restrictions will come into play soon. I just got out of having an app on my phone called "OurPact" which is pretty much the same thing as this. I don't think that this is necessary and parents can simply just take an electronic away instead of implementing SPY WARE into a child's device. This is outrageous!!
