I Made the Keychron K8 Pro Sound REALLY GOOD...IMO

The Keychron K8 Pro already sounds pretty good out of the box. That space bar though...I'm not sure if I love or hate it, but I wanted to see what a basic tape mod and PBT space bar would do to the frequency response of this keyboard.

You gotta fill that spacebar with something. If I'm not mistaken they sell pads to put inside there.

I ordered my K8 pro and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I kinda don't like the sounds I'm hearing here though. I hope I can fix it and make it sound like my custom LK68

I noticed the exact same behavior with the space button on my k8. Waiting for new keycaps to try out. Had slightly better results with a Gateron G Pro Black Switch against the stock Gateron Brown. Nice approach & video

tbh in my opinion he downgraded it but he was obviously going for a different sound profile than i would.

Are you setting the mic stand feet on the desk? I can hear the sound of you bottoming out the keyboard resonating the desk and what I assume is going back into the mic via it's stand. Before we know it you'll be tuning keyboards to a modified harmon curve haha.

What space mod are you referring to? You didn't even show that. Kinda annoying when you mention that and didn't even show it in your video. Kinda lame video in a way honestly. 🤦‍♂😒
