MonkeyBall is the next-gen esports metaverse that combines high-production-value multiplayer gaming with Solana blockchain technology, NFTs and decentralized finance to deliver an exciting, turn-based play-to-earn soccer game that’s easy to learn yet hard to master.

MonkeyBall sits at the intersection of FIFA Street and Final Fantasy. The game is being developed on the Unity game engine, allowing it to be eventually deployed on both Desktop and Mobile.

The 4v4 arcade soccer game is easy to learn yet hard to master. Players build a team of 4 Monkeys to play the positions of Striker, Midfielder, Defender, and Goalkeeper. Matches are played between two teams in Stadiums, owned by players, and can be watched by other players, known as Spectators.

MonkeyBall introduces the concept of asset portability. Players own the game's assets, Monkeys and Stadiums, in the form of NFTs and own the in-game currency in the form of tokens ($MBS). The game offers multiple play-to-earn systems, giving players flexibility and excitement in how they play. Furthermore, players can exercise governance over the game platform and treasury using a DAO governance token ($SCORE).

The game is being developed by a team of experts in multiple disciplines with unmatched experience in game design and development, having designed games that have generated billions of dollars in revenue in the past 15 years.

Our vision is to make players the ultimate protagonists and shapers of the game, those that consistently play and capture the value from their achievements. MonkeyBall is a quick, turned-based, Play-to-Earn arcade soccer game that gives everyone a chance to play and earn.

Players build their ultimate MonkeyBall team consisting of 4 Monkeys to fill the positions of the Striker, Midfielder, Defender, and Goalkeeper. Although each Monkey can play any position, each unique Monkey has inherent abilities that make it better in a specific role.

Matches are played between two teams and consist of 12 rounds - 6 rounds per half. A round finishes when the two teams complete their turns. In their turns, each team can perform three actions - moving a player, dribbling, passing or shooting the ball, or a Special Moves. Each turn ends after a player has performed their actions or clicked “End Turn”.

For each action a player performs, his unique abilities are challenged by his opponent. For example, when kicking to score a goal, a players’ accuracy score is challenged by the goalkeeper's agility. Similarly, when trying to dribble, a Striker's dribble score is challenged by the opponent's Midfielder's strength.

While some players' abilities are set and dictated by how rare the monkey is, other abilities can be trained and developed over time.

MonkeyBall contains three types of in-game Assets and NFTs:
1. Monkeys (Players)
2. Stadiums (Land)
3. Spectators (not NFTs)

MonkeyBall Tokens
The game will be comprised of two separate tokens:
MonkeyBucks ($MBS), the in-game currency
DAO governance token ($SCORE)
