Active vs Capacitive Styluses for Drawing

The perfect stylus for your tablet really depends on what you're using. Capacitive styluses generally work the same across different tablets or touchscreen devices. Digital styluses usually support only the OS and products they are made for.

Check out all the styluses I've reviewed at

palm rejection = wear a glove
drawing diagonals = rotate the paper 45 deg and draw.
vertical or horizontal fix = rotate paper 90 deg

Man thank you for doing your best to clear up this confusing mess. The stylus market is one of the most CONFUSED line of products I've ever seen. Trying to make a decision is soooo difficult for some reason

Over 3 years later and I've found this very informative! There is not a lot of information about the terminology between the two types out there. Thank you very much for clarifying. This will help me find the right stylus for creating art. Cheers!

Wow, people are so rude and cynical!
Thank you for a very clear and easy to understand explanation for anyone less experienced with using styluses!

This is exactly the video I've been looking for! After using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 for the past 3 years, I've become used to have a stylus that just works without charging and is very accurate.

I just recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 6 and just found out the plethora of options before me. I so badly needed direction on which to look at. Thank you for this video.

This was the most useful video i have seen about stylus pens, because it not only compares different products but also explains why they work this way.
I don't know about these things and now everything is clearer. I'm going to read the blog to understand it much better. 😊👍👍👍

The Lenovo tablets/computers (ThinkPad 10, Yoga, X210t) usually come with Wacom digitizers (sometimes called Penabled), so I have been able to use the pen from the ThinkPad 10, the ThinkVision LT1423p and Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel... and all Bamboo tablets pens (and older Graphire 3 pens) without an issue. So far, they can also use the standard Wacom drivers

I actually watched the whole thing without pausing or skipping which is very rare 😅😂. Thank you so much for making this detailed comparison, I find your explanation very helpful & easy to understand without sounding obnoxious to those who are clueless on this sort of stuff. Excellent work 👌👍

Very helpful, thanks. I didn't know there were two versions of the Samsung tab A. That's very sly that they don't tell you.
