Those Spider Farmer lights look the business. For seedlings, which can do without the full spectrum of light, I've found that wilko daylight LED bulbs do an adequate (cheaper!) job. A disposable foil roasting tin works well as a makeshift reflector to mount the bulb holders in. I run them for 18 hours a day managed with one of those cheap timer units which can often be found in charity shops for a pound.

Outstanding germination program. I do this in no heating aspect with quilting.

Just a tip about the lights and the time you turn them off/on. Energy tariffs in the uk are cheaper between 10pm and 8am so if you plan those times into your active times, it will work out a bit cheaper 👍

If anyone has seeds that get stuck on the leaves then try using your saliva - gently rub the shell away with fingers covered in the stuff. Maybe even give it a few minutes to act on the seed before trying to remove it. Works a treat, saves the leaves.

Excellent advice as always. I've adopted your technique from your cupboard and this year turned my boiler cupboard into a hot room with high spectrum lighting and thermal insulation wrap, thanks loads!, my super hot chillies are starting super early. Also got some excellent info off Chillichump who said soak your chilli seeds in camomile tea for 24 hours before sewing. Keep up the great work my friend.

Reusing the water, also puts the nutrients back in to tha plant, that could be lost through watering👌

Nice little cupboard gro setup there. I've got a small gro tent and have to move things around once the seeds are germinated, ive got issues of mould on some of mine, too much moisture, too humid.

Thank you for such a great video 🙏 I’m stressing a little bit now as I haven’t sown any seeds yet apart from garlic back in December. Have I left it too late for onions & peppers ?

If I want say cucumber germination early I use a wine bottle filled with hot water over night. As a heat sink.

Looks good. But your wasting light.

Bring the light down lower.
About 6-12inches above them.
Also the white walls you can get from hydro store it's on a roll and it's waterproof. One side is black one side is white or you can get a propagation tent for around 40quid?
😉

Do you remember the color temperature of that light? 4000, 5000K?
