Collin Gosselin broke his silence in an interview Entertainment Tonight about his estranged relationship with his mom Kate Gosselin after she sent him away for years. He cleared up the rumors about his behaviors & insists that he never should have been sent away.

For those wondering if parents can send their kids away for no reason. The answer is 100% yes. The troubled teen industry is a for profit network of institutions that take kids for merely disobeying their parents. Parents can lie and make any claim they want. If the parent has money, they can make the kid stay there as long as they want. This is a huge problem in our society and happens to thousands of teens every year. So please do not DOUBT Collin because you believe the story Kate told you.

Its been well documented in court that Collin was a victim of abuse by Kate. He was diagnosed with C-PTSD and trauma due to the child abuse Kate inflicted on him. She used a wooden paddle, spanked him so hard she wrote that she was afraid she’d go to far and really hurt him, he told court appointed psychologists that she zip tied him to chairs, forced him to sleep in a closet and alienated him from his siblings. She started hurting him as a toddler. When she wrote letters about her kids, her letter to Collin was disgusting. She resorted to calling him difficult & disobedient. Kate grew up in A very religious home & her father was physically abusive. Jon has said Kate physically abused all of their kids and has been trying to get the kids to speak out for years.

This is so crappy. If anyone needed to be institutionalized, it was KATE. SHE'D LOSE her MARBLES on the show regularly. Watching her snap at the kids and Jon constantly was distressing.

My heart broke for Collin when he started to cry over his siblings. I had no idea his abuse was so horrific and his C-PTSD diagnosis. His siblings need to wake up and realize he’s their brother and just as deserving of love and acceptance as any of them no matter what Kate says about it

What really is heartbreaking is that Collin had other family members that would have nurtured and loved him if his mother couldn’t. But it looks like Kate had too much pride to ask Jon or any other family member to take Collin. Not every child is easy. You don’t just quit and lock your child up in an institution because they are an inconvenience to your career or goals. I hope Collin realizes that this was a parenting issue and not his fault. He didn’t deserve to be isolated from anyone that could give him love and happiness.

I remember watching this show one day, and I made a vow to myself, right then and there, that if I was ever married, I would NEVER speak down to my husband like Kate did with Jon. She treated Jon like an additional child and truly thought she had every right to demand things her way and her way only. The fact that Colin has become the young man he is today, is due to, I'm sure, his father's intervention along with clinical care. This whole interview was just sad.

I know that people want to believe that moms are these great people and not having contact with her is sad, but as someone who's suffered abuse from a narcissistic mom, not having that relationship is 100% for the better. Doesn't mean you don't mourn the relationship or wish you could have a relationship with them, but knowing you're better off is sometimes a sad reality. It seems Colin may be in the better off category. He seems more at peace and on a good path. Glad Jon stepped up

This interview just broke my heart. Sounds like the narcissistic Kate Gosselin didn't want to deal with him, so she got rid of him. I have never been able to stand Kate. The way she treated Jon in public was just ridiculous. I'm glad he's with Jon and Hannah.

I think the fact that Kate never visited Collin is a sign that he didn’t really need to be there. He wouldn’t be dropped off and just disappear from the family for legitimate health reasons, right?

I did notice as a kid watching Jon and Kate Plus 8 she was always yelling at Colin and legit picking on him. She’s a bully and when Jon left she moved on to Colin. Even before Jon left she was always after Colin. I felt bad for him

It is very sad that his mother portrayed him to be a special needs child who was in need of being institutionalized. This is not what I am hearing when he speaks. It is even sadder that she has not reached out to him. I am hoping his siblings will at least try to forge a relationship with him.
