Dr Sam Hayes takes us on a journey into the importance of green spaces in Greater Manchester through the work of researchers at the University of Salford. That`s all fine and dandy but as an engineer I can assure you that roof gardens are a bunch of nonsense that just make your roof leak more.

If you want more greenery then fixing housing regulation so that roof green and terrace green spaces are not counted as part of the green spaces installed by the builder might be a better option. Slopped roofs are also a better option than flat roofs.
