I absolutely love Howl's Moving Castle - I watched the film WAY before I realised there was a book. Also, Diana Wynn Jones's Charmed Life series is one of my favourite kids series of all times. She's a wonderful writer.

I LOVE how you didn't just go for light and fluffy contemporary! Historical fiction is something I'm definitely getting into lately and summer is when I read most of the fantasy! I have a couple weeks between my summer and fall which is when I start my new job so ALL OF THE LONG BOOKS <3

Historical fiction is such a good call. I've been reading a great historical fiction called The Midnight Watch, which is based upon the sinking of the Titanic and also what went on aboard The Californian on that fateful night. I can highly recommend it :)

So glad to find someone like me, who doesn't necessarily wants to read contemporary in summer, and fantasy in winter. Read my first John Green in a February, and A Game of Thrones in May 2015.

I agree with you on reading long fantasy novels in the holidays, I never get the time to read them when I'm at school because I'm always very busy. To proof this: I just came back from a short holiday and on one of the days I was feeling sick so I didn't get to go outside but luckily I had brought the first book of the Mistborn trilogy with me and I read most of the book that day (I did nothing else lol). It kept me good company and I plan to finish at least the trilogy this summer :)
