ET spoke with Spike Lee and the cast of ‘Malcolm X’ in 1992 about turning the civil rights leader’s life story into a now-classic movie. Denzel Washington opened up about how he prepared to take on the iconic role, and what he considered the most intimidating scenes to portray.

This wasn't a "civil rights biopic" it was a human rights biopic. Malcolm wanted equality among the one race, the human race. He was the greatest orator and figure of the 20th century.

One of the greatest films in cinema history. Denzel Washington was absolutely phenomenal in the role! He didn't play Malcolm X He became Malcolm X. Spike Lee direction is impeccable too. 10/10 for Absolutely excellent film.
