This is so calming~ The illustration is so detailed too; every time I look I see something new : )

While translating this, I wasn't sure if it was the person in the chair or the 'Homeland' singing, so it says I in there. I'm kind of leaning toward the 'Homeland' because there's no　僕 or　俺　or 私 or　ワタイ or　アタシ or アタイ　in there to identify a speaker and it just makes sense. But it could still be a childhood friend/sister saying to some guy/her big brother that even though he's leaving the village to go find whatever it is he wants to find, he can always return home where everything that matters is.

I get the feeling that there's a big story behind this, so I'm gonna translate the rest of the songs in the album. Who knows, I might sub some.

I'm translating songs to practice my Japanese grammar and get used to seeing kanji, so this translation may not be the most accurate, but I do try my best~ If you wanna tell me something that's wrong with the translation, go ahead, be brutal.

After listening to it once more, and reading the translation carefully, I've come up with an idea of my own about what she's singing... about. :P

Well, it sounds almost as if she is personifying someone's past, a past that was carefree and almost frivolous where the only thing that mattered was being. Now that whoever Miku is speaking to has grown up, she's reminding him that though he's moved on, that glorious past still remains in his memories, waiting to be revisited. Makes me cry... TTuTT
