Eric Sarwar, PhD Student, shares the difficulties facing Christians in Pakistan and the many ways he and his family have been harassed by Muslims.

“Consolation for the Suffering” was a concert of music and narrative for the many who suffer for their faith. Produced by Brehm Center's Fred Bock Institute of Music at Fuller Seminary on February 11, 2018, this unique music event amplified the voices of the daily persecuted and suffering Christians around the world. Newly composed music for choir, orchestra, and soloists was interspersed with video interviews produced by FULLER studio.

Choirs from Vanguard University and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church of Newport Beach joined conductor James L. Melton and conductor/composer Edwin M. Willmington, composer-in-residence at Fuller Seminary and director of the Brehm Center’s Fred Bock Institute of Music, to create the evening of listening, contemplation, and prayer.

IF
the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. -John 15:18
