This was a groundbreaking car, not just for Volvo, but for the whole industry. Twenty-two years after its debut, it still looks modern. It's still super-safe and super-tough. It was a timeless design and I'm sure it will be considered a classic 'early family SUV' in the future. I will always remember them fondly.

I almost teared up watching this. I have so many good memories of this car, my family had several over the years. They were special cars, and designed with so much humanity and solidity. A revolution for the brand and a model SUV for what the future of safe utility vehicles could be.

Legendary for Volvo and the world, I'll always remember our XC90's.

I've only 2003 2.4 Diesel XC90 in Turkey. It was a import from Italy, I found it. Car made me learn Italy since I can't change language or open navigation(which works in EU). 165HP 5-gear MK1 edition. Only car I could afford with 2-3X taxes on cars here. It looks amazing, security guard in my workplace thinks I'm general manager or something when I come in while I barely make life lol. It never gets old. It's small and big at the same time in small streets of Istanbul. It's at 332.458 kilometres at the moment. I needed tranmission maintenance and engine maintenance just to be safe but never costed that much. Rear park sensors are death. Radio died too but I don't care. Everyone thinks I'm a family guy while I'm 29 years old single man.

Best brand on the market. My family still owns a 2007 Volvo xc90 V8 sport. and had it for a long time it has 280k km on it and haven't done major repairs. When people say what is your dream car and for many years never gave them an answer until this video. It fills that love for cars to the max. I love Volvo. Volvo for life.

The earliest cars are 20 years old, and still nobody has ever died in one in the UK. It raised the bar, and no mistake.

Used to work for Volvo for around six years, and this one has always been one of my favorite vehicles to drive, especially considering how old it is now.I love the design, as well as the interior, and the amount of innovations safety wise that this vehicle has brought to the rest of the industry is incredible. I also really like how during the time period when this vehicle was developed, Volvo was owned by Ford, so the folks over at Land Rover came over to Volvo and helped them out a ground work from which they could build on

I have my 2004 XC90 with a 2.9 T6 engine and it currently has 182, 000 miles.💪🏼 If at some point I have to change it, I will do it for another XC90, always faithful to the XC90 for life.

My dad always wanted an XC90, due to its extremely high reputation and safety... shame they're ridiculously expensive here in India... :/
