Was the test performed on a unit with shared evaporator/condenser? I've seen quite significant performance differences with W/W units and shared plate HX for evporator/condenser. In theory, the performance should be the same, but in practise the performance is quite different. The difference was lower than precented her, approx. 7% heating, 5% COP.
The SH for the new Siemens valve is so stable, and at even higher evaporating temps. It's quite impressive!

I'm quite intreaged by this valve. Look forward to hearing more about it 😊

From a purly theoretical point of viev, the valve (both the new, and the old) have a pressure loss. If the valve selected is properly, the superheat after the valve should be the same. Only the pressuredrop over the valve should be different. And here i doubt that the difference in pressuredrop really affect the performance as much as this man suggest. Atleast, this should be able to prove with theoretical calculations. So i guess that the stepper motor expansion valve is not selected or controlled properly.

most expensive solution: MVL702, cable, controler POL94M.0. It clearly corresponds with R744 systems. this is not a good direction of development. Solutions should be reliable, low-cost, available to all.
