Cheating in sports is the most disgraceful thing ever. Id rather lose to keep it fair than getting a freewin because of an unfair advantage. Sports are a fun way to compete.

How could the judges not see he was hitting air? Like what is the point of having judges if they aren’t there to ensure the fencing match is done fairly and ensuring there is no mechanical issues with the fencing foil.

The bad part is that he was a really good fencer. If he didn’t do this, he would’ve easily medaled in the event. But people can do some crazy things for a gold.

I fenced for all four years of highschool and was the coach for the fencing club at my college for about 3 years. Absolutely disgraceful. I consider a bout of fencing to be honorable as a 1v1 duel and he crapped on it.
