my apple tv turns on but gets stuck on the language screen, the remote will at time not work and other times when I click buttons the light flashes, also pressing the menu and power button makes it restart but I get the same set of problems all over again. also already tried preparing the remote and restoring the apple tv to factory settings and I Stil get the same issues

1. if you app isn't working force quit.
2. if you Apple TV isn't working reboot it.
3. if your controller doesn't work it charge it.
4. if your sound system doesn't work restart it
5. if your running out of storage delete stuff.

Thank you !! The cable repair guy was here and we could not get it to advance past the set up screen .. on the plus side, We did learn to say Hello in like 200 languages!!!LOL ( after a reset, due to issues ) we plugged / unplugged/ looked for a pin hole reset button, /, checked connections, preyed ;) etc. then you said hold menu and volume + ! And voila ‘ it allowed me to repair my remote and life is good again!! Ty ty ty :)

Thank you. The Youtube app was acting up, I had audio but no visual, just a blank screen.
I tried the restart by pressing the menu and home button like you demonstrated and that worked and YT is working again.
