Well, being able to tolerate lactose is actual a genetic mutation that we acquired somewhere in time. So being lactose intolerant is actually our normal setting. And if you don't drink it for a long time, you can get lactose intolerant too, because the bacteria in your intestines can't work with it anymore.

But for me it's always more of a funny thought, that someone had to try milking animals for the first time and trying it. And then told people about it...

I figured out in highschhol that I was lactose intolerant, but they always made us drink milk. Like I wouldn't have had to keep leaving my classes the last half of the day to go sit in the bathroom if you'd stop making me drink milk. 😑
