How to Manually Install Windows 10 Cumulative Updates

Just a quick video on manually installing windows 10 updates...why you may be asking? well you may need to uninstall a update and you can download it again. Maybe you are having problems with that windows update and want to uninstall it. Maybe you have updates paused and want to install only certain types of updates and leave the troublesome updates out. So for what ever reason, here is how you do it.

Microsoft Update Catalog is a website that offers updates for computers running, Windows XP, Windows Server, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10.
Visit Microsoft Update Catalog website and search for the update you want.

i got a zip file. after i extract it, there is just files in it. no exe ir stuff so i cant run it and idk where to keep the downloaded file

I got a problem the update is a .cab file and I can only open it with WINrar and after extracting there are three files that I can't use to install cuz they just open explanations, theres a .sys a .inf and a .cat file. none of them install the update

Hi Brian, off topic question, but would you know why a pc would (during use) randomly go into its Bios. I t just started recently. Reinstall of the Great win 10 did not make a difference, as i thought would be the case. Thanks man.

I came across several of your videos of moving from Windows 7 to 10. I still have 7, no update downloaded, but it appears the win10 upgrade thru media creation is still active; or i just buy win10 home for 100 bucks. What i need to do is dual boot keeping 7 and then d/l 10. I have 1TB SSD, plenty of room to split. However, each video i watched it appeared there are steps you have already done, referring to videos of the past to get: tools, win10 image, ISO etc...Can you give me the link to the first video of this series in order to do this right. thank you.

Every single time I´ve tried to update from 1809 to 1903 I´ve had to roll back the update because I end up getting a black desktop with cursor, no Task Manager and unresponsive Explorer.exe. I´ve tried everything I´ve read in the internet (in place update, clean boot, unistalling drivers, disconnecting UBS and BT devices, multiple restarts, waiting 24h, safe-mode, etc.) and after 5 attempts in the last 3 months I haven´t been able yet to succesfully update to 1903. If you have an idea, pls let me know. As a power-user I enjoy your videos a lot :)

i'm of those people who prefers to install updates under a recovery environment...just for being sure that Windows 10 won't mess up everything .-.

But, what about prerequisite updates. Automatic updates show only those updates available based on what you've got, so it will hide updates that you shouldn't get until you have updated with other updates first. So how do you manage that?

i dont know why when i download it does not come as a single installation file. It comes as a compressed Cab file. When I extract the files, the reinstallation file does not appear. Please someone help me

This is the 4th way I tried to update windows (from your vids) and my computer will not accept it... Im going after a keyfinder app so I can reinstall other software and will try doing a clean install of windows 10... 1511 was the last upgrade this box allowed then locked me out... frustrated...
