Episode 177
In 2018, NASA selected Jezero crater as the landing site for the Perseverance rover because it was thought to be the best place to search for evidence of life on Mars. So why after 3 ½ years of exploration has NASA decided to exit Jezero crater?

Love the use of items for scale, i rarely see that, and here it's used exactly when you'd want it

Have always wondered why we don't have any video recorded of Mars by Perseverance or Curiosity. Maybe it's just me, but I think but some quick vids from the rover as it moves along the surface would be awesome.

Thanks so much for keeping us informed on Perseverance, long may she roll. I noticed a soft popping sound in your background this time, just wanted to make sure you were aware as your production quality is always strong. Looking forward to the hill climb!

Hopefully there'll be some nice overturned beds to investigate around the crater rim.

Percy gets a road trip! Cool! I loved road trips as a nerdy kid, collecting maps from every gas station we stopped at.

Some day this will be "Jezero Crater International Park" and the Percy Sample Drops will be at Trail Marker Points... ☆☆

I was seeing double there for a minute LOL Unfortunate that one rock did not deserve drilling, but it sounds like exciting things are ahead! Thank you for your great explanation of the plan upward and out of the crater :)

This is so exciting!! New terrain, new science, new discoveries for NASA! Onward and Upward Percy!! We're carrying on without you, our little copter, but we will never forget you!❤

it still surprises me that more time wasn't spent at the delta - isn't that where things could have 'washed downstream'? Luv the channel. wish for a supercut of the best of eps...

That hill climb should be a challenge. What is the maximum slope that Perseverance can manage?

Good Morning, Mars Guy. I have heard of any return to Mars as of late. Have You? I would sure like to see at the very least what we can learn from the core samples. You ask and explain very interesting aspects of the layers of the surface. Do you think it was an impact event? Or something like, for lack of a better term, an atomic explosion? I can't seem to rap my head around what event could have occurred. Love Your Channel Mars Guy. Keep doing what you are doing. I look for Your Channel every Sunday morning. Thanks for all you do. Have a Great Day.
