Forbidden Foods in the Bible Explained | Leviticus 11 | Jewish Dietary Laws

Why would God forbid the Jewish people from eating certain foods? If they were unhealthy, why wouldn't God tell everybody to not eat them? In this video I offer one explanation that tries to make sense of these strange laws.

For me pork gives me horrible acne but beef doesnt. I been eatting beef only for a couple months and my face has mever been clearer. Also i feel great. Also after doing a lot of research on diet. I found out many of the foods we have on the market now are basically posioned. Many of them give horrible inflammation and are the cause of many diseases. Even if its ok to eat pork I still avoid it. As it causes me inflammation in the body

I’m so confused as to how he arrived at this explanation from chapter 11. I have not found specific reasons or symbolisms in scripture, rather, specific prohibitions are given with no specific reason or allegory given.

Ruminating stomachs could represent going over a memory, when I had an argument and I replayed the argument I remembered, replaying the trauma in my thoughts going over the details, of course, we don't do this this is an influx flowing into our minds. Hopping insects, locusts could represent substance abuse, high and up one minute and down depressed the next, up and down instead of stable steady content traveling or moving forward. Great job Todd

Shellfish clean the ocean floor and act as filters, eating bacteria, etc. Pigs eat fungus (in the wild). Ruminent animals sufficiently digest plants and grains that humans have problems with. I don't know about the bugs, but there is no way I'd be eating any bugs of any kind at all.

I’m a former Pentecostal Christian that converted to Judaism. But Jesus never tells no one to eat whatever they wanted to eat. He was a Jew that followed the law/ The commandments. Paul told them to eat whatever they wanted..in Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, if you want eternal life keep the Commandments..

God never change the dietary laws. He said pig is unclean and not food that was never changed. Pastors refer to Peter being on the roof and that sheet coming down three times with unclean animals saying kill and eat but he was speaking about the three Samaritans that came to the gate, and God told Peter to go down and go with them and not to call them unclean. He was not speaking about food whatsoever, but pastors don’t read those couple of verses below, and you need to bring the truth and I speak this in love to you

About fish/fins, etc. You completely omit the real reason fish without scales are unclean. Most fish with just skin, are bottom feeders. They eat garbage and poop. Anyone who has been in the aquarium hobby knows this--basic biology.

Please don't take this the wrong way but that was complete nonsense.None of your points had any scriptural evidence. You made it sound as if it was only something practiced by the ancient Hebrew but clean and unclean Meats were practiced even by the disciples and Christ himself all the way until even after Christ's crucifixion. I'm not trying to say you should follow the clean and unclean meat laws, in fact I landed on this video because I am trying to do more research on the subject.But if you can give me some scripture or something in your next video.
