I decided to shave down my beard and wear a mustache for one day. I took a camera along to capture what others thought of the stash. 2012

I've rocked my stache for 2 months now and I have made the observations..
ALL men love and respect it
ALL women hate it

It's not just porn stars and creepers wearing the mustache. Take a look at the world's manliest men, visit your local fire station! We can't wear full beards because of our breathing masks so we are relegated to the world of the "Stache"...

Between guys, we always think that beards and staches are cool but, most women hate it. I once sported a "friendly mutton chop" beard style for a week at work and all my male coworkers LOVED it and when I shaved it they were like "Aww man, why d'you shave it? It looked awesome". But all my female coworkers said it looked bad and that I look better clean shaven. It pisses me off that most women can't appreciate beard styles. By the way, you look really good with that mustache.

I grew a mustache because 1. at work I'm not allowed anything below my top lip. And 2. it's a dying expression of manliness.

I've got nothing but complements on it and people in general treat me better with it. Not to mention I feel more confident.

Studies show men with a mustache make 8% more money than bearded men and 4% more than clean shaven men.

Your moustache looked great. You look handsome with it. The only creepy part about your experiment, as I see it, was asking your coworkers if they wanted to touch it.

Thanks for the compliment. I am blessed with a face that will grow a nice full beard... or mustache when the time calls for it. The video is more a poke at how the stache has dug its way pack into pop culture. And for the record, I am in the process of growing both the beard and mustache Thanks for watching!

I have recently become self-conscious of and equally distressed by, "The Cleanly-Shaven Face" . . . Two days ago, I shaved off a full beard that had some respectable length to it. I did this for a professional movie shoot that I shot overnight, last night . . . Here's the story: earlier this year while I had been letting my full beard and mustache grow out for various theatre roles over the summer - (The Summer of 2018) - I had been watching various different videos on YouTube about beards and men's facial hair - (on the whole) - and 'stache wax, beard oil, anti-static/wooden combs, the right kind of a brush, how to trim facial hair, etc. This was and remains intensely fascinating to me because this was, in reality, the very first time in my entire life that I had grown a mustache and beard to such a full length. THIS was "Uncharted Territory" - and I had a great time growing this full beard, you see. Then when I had to it off two days ago, well, I am now an instant 1970's throwback. For now, I look like that guy in the Doobie Brothers, you know, the one with the BIG MUSTACHE, no beard, long hair and dark sunglasses . . . The feeling, the presence of and the powerful exhilaration of sporting a full beard was lost to filming this movie scene last night . . . I had contracted to lose the beard for the shoot because they're paying me to appear in the movie - BUT - to my pleasant surprise affecting a minor degree of actual shock, my makeup lady had me keep the 'stache - (!!!) . . . And so now I have a very large, VERY FULL mustache like that guy in the Doobie Brothers and I have to admit that it often makes me wonder if people I don't know are looking at me with a certain degree of suspicion, whatever that suspicion may be. "Hey, check out that weird guy with the big 'stache, man - what's he up to??? Better steer clear ~ " . . . Am I being paranoid or can anybody relate to that feeling? It's an entirely WEIRD feeling because I've never, ever had such a big mustache like this before. I will admit to you that as an actor, to a particularly jovial degree, this experience is enjoyably goofy - (and I know this look will be only temporary, I realize that) . . . and yet the undeniable symptom of the recent shave is that now I can't deal with having to endure the BLATANT SHOCK that comes along with: "The Cleanly-Shaven Face" . . . It feels, I don't know . . . somehow **FOREIGN** or otherwise misunderstood either by me or by other people. Could this idea be referring to, "The Stigma Of The 'Stache" - (???) In all fairness, this look is excellent for the movie, you know, it's really, really GOOD for the movie, people loved my makeup job, members of both the cast and the crew raved about it, the whole thing was very fun and on one level, very goofy and very positive - but I have to say from personal experience that The Bottom-Line sentiment expressed in this video delivers TRUE with Bull's-Eye-Accuracy: "If you want a little bit of mystery, grow a 'stache" . . . I couldn't agree more.

You're stache looks awesome!!! I'm 26(will be 27 in March) and I have one and I love it! I've tried out beards and goatee's and I didn't like neither. I've had mine since November and have never looked back. I was last clean shaven on Halloween. I trim mine when it gets down to the bottom of my upper lip and just shave the other facial hair. I agree mustaches have become a lost art just like mullets(I'm growing a mullet BTW) it's such a shame. It's also mostly older men in their 60's onwards too.

Funny, I'm 60 years old and remember many guy musician and actors before Tom Selleck and even Burt Reynolds. How about Mister Kotter Gabe Kapplen in addition to those other two guys . Yep back in the 70s a lot of us old now guys had the shag hair platform shoes and yes the either Walrus stash or chevron mustache. Oh those were some good times . ✌😎

I've always been able to grow a thick mustache but never went for it. I get more attention now than ever, people love it. I think with women it's a love or hate. So far it's been a hit with most
