The first weeks after my surgery, I took my shirt off at any opportunity. I wasn't able to do so for ages, and then I was, so I wasn't holding back!

I’m still not into openly showing my chest but it’s really so amazing how everything I wear just feels “right” now… Like, I don’t feel horribly dysphoric anytime I change/look in a mirror (at least about my chest) and have even had a few moments where I take off my shirt and don’t immediately cover up 🥲 I knew I’d be way more happy and comfortable getting the weight off my chest, but I didn’t expect to finally feel like my chest, albeit scarred, is my own.

I hope that every trans person who wants top surgery can get it someday! Totally worth the pain and discomfort of healing.
