Damn Scott, took your bathing advice, only 3% into The Crossing and I haven’t been this excited since, 🤔well Suttree probably. Just blown away with the spare and caring dialog, Billy, his dad, his mom and Boyd. The appearance of the she wolf, up from Mexico - are scenes, and an understanding of the beauty and ways of nature, depicted in a manner that is awe inspiring this reader. Thanks again, got to go…

It'll be interesting to hear your take on The Passenger when you catch up to it. Very unusual book and not much like anything else McCarthy has done.
I'm 1/2 way through it and it's been a tough one to wrap my head around.

I am completing the trilogy right now. I was a bit annoyed with the conclusion of the first book after Grady had become Rambo, then MacGuyver -- all that business with the Captain. Then, in the second volume, he provides the funniest (!?!) line in his output -- that the mongrel dog looked like it had been constructed by "demented vivisectionists". Still, John Grady and Billy Parham do so much stoopid shit in the third book, that I'm like: ==?? Cheers!

Read All the Pretty Horses last month, the plan is to read Outer Dark next, as it has been sitting in my kindle for some time now. But you have me thinking of an adjustment in my bathtub 🛁 menu?
