Did you find out why your does were having all male babies? I can find a couple of theories for why that might be. One is if you only put the does in for a short time with the buck while they are on heat and close to ovulation, some believe that the sperms that will become male can swim faster, but die quicker, so close to ovulation might make a boy baby. A few days or a week before ovulation, if you can leave buck with the girls, there might be a chance for the sperm that becomes a girl, which swims slower but can live longer, might make it to the egg to make some baby girls. The other theory is based on mouse studies. When mice were fed with abundance, plenty of fats and proteins, they tended to have more boy babies. When they were slightly hungry and eating more carbs but not quite enough fats and proteins, they tended to have girl babies. This also seemed true for humans when after the last World War, when food was more scarce, more baby girls were born. So maybe you are feeding your goats too well! But I also just read a study that when goats are fed on grains (carbs) they are more likely to suffer from toxemia in pregnancy (which kills them), so still better to give them those nice green grasses. I wonder if the iron injections could be influencing the gender of the babies if it is making them super healthy. The idea is when there is abundance, a species can have male babies to diversify the gene pool. But when times are tough, they have girl babies with the hope more of them will reproduce and at least some of them will survive.
