Luckily I got my dad's watch completely restored years ago and you got me the last few brand new crystal replaced. It's a family watch and for sure I will take good care of it 😊

Thanks for the video. Could you however go more into detail concerning why the 1000 series movements aren't collectable? Thanks in advance!

Love seeing these videos, I'm learning so much about one of my favorite brands. When it comes time that I can buy a vintage Omega, I'll be armed with lots of knowledge.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. The only thing you didn't mention is what era or time period these watches were made in.

Hello. Would you recommend buying Seamaster 120? (most likely from Japanese market)

Ploprof movements are 1000 movements and are extremely collectible and not cheap.... The geneve's are very good entry level watches

The thing with collecting is knowing when things get rock bottom in value and get slammed like that. Wish i saw this video 3 years ago so i I'd run and buy some :=]

Hi, thanks for all the information! Is the f300 in good condition, a reliable watch?

All of this is my omega that I get from my grandpa it has 1022 movements with specially omega crystals and unreplacable bracelet and it now broken now so it is pocket watch like you said. But my grandpa also have Seamaster 30 and Omega Electronics F300Hz that still have normal bracelet so I still can use it without find new vintage omega.

I'm interested on your thoughts of the f300hz tuning fork omegas as their replacement parts are also steadily disappearing from supply.

The Omega 1000 series movement have earned undeserved bad reputation. In the beginning, some people had a lot of faults with the watch, but it is often fixed now 50 years after. I have several cal 1001 which goes 100% accurate even though they are 50 years old.

I'm sure this is a question you get a lot. But is there any of the more modern seamasters that you think are more worth it than others?
Personally I really like the look of the 1990-2000s wave dial seamaster, but is that a worse buy than the later one without waves at all or even the new wave dial omega with the co-axial movement?

I'm trying to get one of those omegas with square Crystal. That's what makes it unique to me! 😉

I have an omega Geneve round case s/s date hand wound on a leather strap.I've checked vintage catalogues and its model md 1360099 from 1975, its in good order and I've had it for many years, it needed a new main spring 2 years ago but its accurate to around +5secs a day.don't know what movement though.I have the original box also but no papers.
