Before Buying a Stock, Look for this ...

Показать описание
Someone recently asked me to take a look at DELL as they had heard that it might be a good time to buy the stock given what they had been told about the company's sales and earnings, etc. So, we figured this would be a good opportunity to show you a quick example of what we want to see before we add an individual stock - or an ETF (for the most part) - to one of our models.
Keep in mind that this is neither a recommendation nor a condemnation of DELL. As I briefly mention in the video, one of our contentions is that most people are actually NOT "long-term investors". I explain that more fully in my upcoming book, but we believe most people are neither long-term investors nor short-term traders. So, before we add something to a client portfolio, we want to see EVIDENCE - hence the title of my book, Evidence Based Investing - that the trend is positive.
This video, like all of our videos is made to help you understand the reality of what is happening in our nation's economy and how that translates to our stock and bond markets - without the hype and without an agenda. We are a fee-only asset management firm, managing money for discerning investors. If you would like to learn more, you can find our website below. Likewise, you are welcome to follow our Founder and Chief Investment Officer on LinkedIn.
