I just used your method on a big block Chevy in an old C6000 GMC it's been sitting for at least 10 years I don't know how long the engine was locked up I haven't started it in I can't remember when I put in the Sea Foam and diesel fuel last Friday and today which is 7 days later the engine spins by hand thanks it worked great!

MAN! DUDE! Thanks for the refresher course! When I put the diesel in it yesterday, and went to put the weight on it this morning, and hazah! It broke loose before I could let the weight all the way down.
Thanks again

Just wanted to say thank you. I have a 1973 GMC Jimmy that has been sitting for 24 years it was frozen solid I found your channel and it took about 2 weeks but finally broke free only was able to get a half revolution still soaking hopefully in about a week I will try again.
Just an update. The motor finally broke free. I’m now working on getting it running again. Thank you !

This was one of the best and simplest explanations I have seen. I have a 1952 dodge with a flathead six that is froze solid. I will try this. Good Job.

I've heard of this tip before but never saw it! I'm looking at buying an older Dodge charger that has a potentially seized engine. I'm hoping I'll have the same luck you did.

Before putting the spark plugs back in but after adding new oil and whatever lubricants you are using crank it for several revolutions. Maybe the oil pressure will come up even! Great info on this video thank you!

thank you, my uncle used to remove plugs, , use kerosine, and then daisy chain three truck batteries and these old cars would start right up!

When I come across a situation like that transmission I'll just take a cut off wheel and a grinder and cut a small slot in the bottom of the thing to access the flex plate. It wouldn't take much of a slot to do it and you can probably just drill some little holes and run a tap in them. That will allow you to cut a piece of an old road sign or body metal or something to cover the slot and just bolt that over it. It's not going to weaken it in any significant way and you can get at the teeth on the fly wheel to bar them over.

Adding the weight to the bar makes so much sense, as it will let the engine slowly break loose on it's own. Most of us have tried to force an engine to break loose with the starter or breaker bar, which often does more damage to the engine, especially if there are underlying issues which are not known....quite often the reason the vehicle was sitting for many years in the first place.

Chevy has a dustpan, really easy access to the flex plate. Also could find something jammed into the flywheel that could also prevent the engine from turning; even after pre soaking the engine.

This was great! Got a squarebody dually with a sized big block. I will do this, and let it soak for weeks if I have to.

I have done many Ford's like that and it won't hurt a thing to drill a hole in bellhousing with a small holesaw so You can get a prybar on teeth and turn flywheel that way. Has worked for me😊

Worked well with my v twin evolution, had it sitting for over 2 years and got my bike on the road, thanks for the video really appreciate it, probably saved me a lot of time and money, cause I was about to pull the motor and rebuild it. Pls like and subscribe cause this truly works well especially on motors that hasn’t been sitting for to long! I can vouch for that
