Find and manage downloaded files in Firefox

In my opinion, it's a good thing. Massively simplified. Can't believe so many people are complaining about a simple button that shows the downloads FOR THAT SESSION. Not any others, which was one of my gripes about it.

I hate the new download manager as well! I hated the way IE and Chrome handled downloads and was so thankful that Firefox didn't change! And now they have and I want to pull my hair out! It sucks!! It makes things harder, NOT easier!!! Thank you to the people who described how to get the old download window back!! My hair is safe again!

Hey firefox, make a confirmation when you click "Clear Downloads", also I'd like a separate option to delete the actual file along with the history record. Thank you !

I don't understand why they could not make search available within the popup manager. Same applies for speed rate. Then three last downloads only is not enough. It also lacks a button that would clean the list. Hope that's gonna be indtroduced later.

When I do this, it does bring back the old download manager window, but it doesn't show what I download. The window stays blank and doesn't show the progress. Is there something else I need to turn off or on?

I find the new one pretty much as useful as the old one, however I really miss ALT + R to Clear All Downloads (at least for FF in Swedish, that is so). I'm a and I crave for this to come back. *sad and turns to alcohol for comfort*

my downloads get deleted after closing firefox if i don't open the file because sometimes i forget them. shouldn't be in my winrar at least?

Holy shit thank you so much now i dont need the download manager tweak add on which makes Firefox freeze all the fucking time. Mozilla really needs to get it's shit together with the UI, its like 4th retarded change they made in a year that I have to undo to make Firefox usable again.

The new dowload manager is definitely that kind of answer. You know...the answer to the question nobody ever asked for. Now I can't "close" my browser anymore until the DL is finished. I know that I couldn't really close them before either, it was still running, but the window itself was limited to the download part.

How could anyone see this as an advantage? Is there so much pressure to develop "new features" that senseless things like this get pushed into new releases without the option to turn them off? -.-
