Elliot Aronson is one of the most influential psychologists of all time. It was with tremendous gratitude and excitement that I hosted Dr. Aronson in conversation on the 22nd episode of the Psychology Is Podcast. We discuss his incredible life, and also cognitive dissonance, self justification, psychology in politics, the jigsaw classroom, censorship on college campuses, and more. Enjoy the conversation.

I was a student of Elliot's at the U of Texas Austin. We did a study My Enemy's Enemy Is My Friend which allowed me not only to learn so much about experimental social psychology but also to experience his incredible intelligence and his his warmth as a mentor. Elliot was also my dissertation chair for my PhD. For twenty years I taught at
two universities and a community college on the West Coast. I had very good success teaching and Elliot was the major influence for this. I thank you so much for posting this!
