This is the kind of stuff I take with me in my EDC. I don’t need pry bars and bit drivers and wrenches. I’m not interested in going out and fixing things. My EDC is for fixing me.

What made it through TSA on my last flight: Folding Fiskar mini scissors, Victorinox nail clippers, Zebra mechanical pencil, Pilot Birdie pen, Victorinox Swiss Card minus small knife blade, Coast inspection flash light, and micro bit driver. I do try to follow the directions before going through. What I need and sometimes forget are ear plugs, aspirin, Ibuprofen, band aids, and alcohol wipes.

Hello, I just stumbled across your video, I haven't heard of your channel before but I will watch more of your videos now. I love your ultra compact flight EDC. So many people pack these huge 'emergency' kits for travel, and I always think, where do you plan to fit your legs in? Being a semi-disabled senior lady and - well, not obese, but certainly uncomfortably heavy - I always pay extra to book a bulkhead seat so I can have a wee bit extra leg room. The tradeoff is, I don't have the seat pocket in front and all my hand luggage has to be in the overhead compartment. So most of what I need during my flight needs to fit in my pockets, or in an extremely thin triple pocket flat travel pouch that will slip in the tiny magazine pouch attached to the bulkhead (I remove the in flight magazine and stick it in the overhead compartment to make room.) The zip pouch has room for alcohol wipes, a mask, an extremely thin paperback (I would rather read print than a screen when travelling), and that's about it. What does help is wearing a 17 pocket travel vest which allows me to keep ID and cash hidden and zipped up inside, and in flight essentials such as eye drops, tissues, sudafed for the landing (I have ear trouble when I fly), snacks, reading glasses, and blunt tiny scissors from a sewing kit to open snacks. Also my pocket pharmacy, which fits in a tiny folding plastic many-compartment container about the size of a deck of cards. Anything absolutely essential is on my person rather than in a bag - if you have to use the emergency exit slide for any reason, you cannot take any bags, even a purse, or shoes, so I need anything irreplaceable like ID and glasses on my body.

I always have one of those little flossers/toothpick one me. Nothing can ruin your mood faster than a piece of food stuck in your teeth and you can't get it out. They take up very little space, and I'm always glad I've got one when I need it.

I have expermented with the similar Maxpedition zipper Pouches with more of a Survival preparadness twist though but here are some more ideas one can pick and choose from for your EDC travel Kits- Fresnal Magnifier, Sharpie, Small Compass like the clip on Suunto, Map of Area of destination, Caribiner Clip, Extra Flashlight Batteries, Zip-Ties, Safety Pins, Earplugs, Fruit Leather, Bandana, hank of Para Cord, Micro Photon Light on key ring, Knife Sharpener like the Sog Mac V Multi-Tool, Bleed X/ Bleed Stop, Alcohol Wipes, Waterproof Band-Aids, White Medical Tape wrapped around an old Credit/Gift Card, small container or ziplock bag with Pain Relievers and one for Multi Vitamins, Floss (which can be used for emergency lashings, sutures, sewing, or fishing line), another old Credit/ Gift Card Wrapped in Duct Tape and Electrical Tape- they make 1" Gorilla Tape for convenience (this for emergency gear repair or medical), Leatherman by the Numbers flat Multi-Tools (1-10) or the Punisher flat Multi-Tool some have a built-in Prybar feature, and in my Carry-on or Suitcase I keep and empty Knife Sheath knowing every kitchen has Knives etc... if things got so bad I could not replace my preferred EDC carry Knife with something that I like.

You've earned a new scribe based on the strength of this video alone. I am always looking for good EDC content, and your system was well articulated, sensible, and on point. I will make a response video upon my return from vacation travel to Asia later this year, but I wanted you to know right now that your video could not be more timely. Thanks!

Your choices seem well thought. As crazy has flying has become over the past few years travel doesn’t have the allure it once had for me. Now a train trip sounds delightfully refreshing. Cheers!

Awesome content as always. I used to bring a Style PS with me, but after losing it to a grumpy security agent in Colombia, I won't risk anymore. There is simply no way to win an argument if they don't want to be convinced. Aside from that, great kit!

I wear contacts and sometimes need drops or just to take them out. I pack a Tom Bihn Clear 3D Organizer to pack liquids in. Then add drops to my pouch when I get through security.

I like to keep some Tylenol, and pepto near by just in case. Also
Keep wet wipes packets near just in case I need to wipe something or even wipe my hands

Chafon makes a great 4in1 60w short cable that would be perfect for that kit. Would allow you to free up all those other cables.
