The fact they found a glitch is amazing and hilarious.

I remember watching this when they published it, still feels uncanny the way the red agent smile during it's jump on the last second the video

AI learns to exploit physics. There will be nowhere safe to hide in the robot apocalypse. 😮

the hide and seek meta is evolving at an alarming rate lmao

So when the robots start killing us and we hide but they instantly find us, we know whom to blame.

I don't have the source for you right now. But I remember reading a paper of an AI implemented on an FPGA, which is basically a reconfigurable digital circuit. It's goal was to utilize anything available to maximize the data rate submitted to another board over a cable connection.
One thing about digital circuits, that they are only 1es and 0es on a theoretical level. Once on the physical level it becomes electric currents and voltages.
Now the amazing thing: after the AI maximized the traditional means of transmitting data using digital circuits, it started to exploit the imperfections of the circuit. "Intentionally" breaking specs to create interference on the physical level and essentially creating a radio.
Not only it managed to squeeze in a couple of additional bits per second that way, it also means it broke the air gap, and could send information to the other board, even if the cable connection was cut.

The most terrifying apocalypse situation the revolting robots find a glitch in the simulation and your realize you’re life means nothing and there are murderous reality warping bots.

So cool that we're training AI to hunt people who are hiding in buildings and barricading their doors.

The fact that they had to design those eyes to make them look evil totally doesn't surprise me

These people redoing millions of years of evolution in the computer

By running these practice rounds, we're basically taking away any advantage John Connor might of had.

I saw this a few years ago when it happened and I was so impressed with how the ai just learnt to glitch the game just like we do in real life. There was also a glitch where they could clip through the wall at a certain point. Crazy.

Commenting to placate the algorithm before it turns on us.

This reminds me of that one Alien game where the AI Xenomorph was made to adapt to players, but some players got really good so the Xenomorph learned to exploit glitches to try and keep up with them. As a result it started decimating newer players and the devs had to scrap it

it's almost like the AI learned to speedrun

This is what countries fighting each other look like.

You didn't mention the time when the ramp was locked in place, so the seekers used it to climb a block and then try to walk onit, which made the block move, too.
That's my favourite one.

Next game, the hiders are actually on Mars.

Billions of games later A.I has designed a spaceship which can get humans there
