How These Harry Potter Characters Almost Looked

The Harry Potter film franchise is one of those nearly-perfect film franchises that it almost feels wrong to complain about. Still, we’re going to anyway.

The massively successful film franchise adapted a great deal of JK Rowling’s sprawling wizard saga perfectly but there were a few details that eagle-eyed book lovers noticed were a little off.

Whether it was an incorrect eye color, teeth that were too straight or just details that were completely wrong, Potterheads were quick to take to the earliest messageboards of the internet to air their grievances over any little visual that didn’t align with their favorite series.

There were also instances where early art for the characters showed something very different than the designs we ultimately got.

So let’s grab our time turners and look back over the history of the Harry Potter film franchise to see how all our favorite characters almost looked!

Peeves the poltergeist was mentioned in all Harry Potter books but had never appeared in the films. I'm still disappointed.

Isn't it interesting though that Neville was one of the two possible children who could destroy Voldemort, and in the end he kinda did, because if he didn't kill Nagini, Harry was gonna lose the duel with Voldemort.

Regarding Harry, it is mentioned over and over in the books that he had wild hair that could never be combed or "flattened". What is funny is that they did give Daniel wild hair in the 3rd and 4th movie but then they said "nah"

8:31 : What's your problem with frizzy hair ? How can frizzy hair "not make sense" ?
-If you read the books, you would have known that Hermione did use magic once on her hair, and said it took a really long time.
-If you ever talked to a person with frizzy hair, you would have known it's the same issue : hair straightener is not a magic tool that makes your hair straight and shiny. It takes a crazy long time. It's not easy to master. It damages your hair. And not everyone has one. Plus Hermione character is not one who cares a lot about her appearance anyway.
-FRIZZY HAIR IS NOT A PROBLEM TO FIX. It's just a type of hair.

Can...we talk about this commentary on Hermione? The whole point was that she didn't care to change her appearance through magic (until her teeth, which came as a big shock). And she didn't care to use a hair straightener. Her appearance wasn't her priority. Of course she'd get self-conscious from time to time, but she was supposed to be one who didn't even think or doing anything to 'fix' her hair. It wasn't important.

emma watson did actually have enlarged teeth in the movies that were very subtle. she also tried larger versions but couldn't physically speak through them

The thing about Hermione's hair:
1. She did fix it once with magic, for the Yule Ball, but complained it took forever.
2. A hair straightener also takes forever.
3. A hair straightener couldn't work within Hogwarts, anyway, as muggle electronics don't work because of the magic. They go haywire.
4. Even if they could, there are 100% NO outlets in Hogwarts anyway.
5. Frizzy hair isn't bad, so why would Hermione want to change it anyway when there are more important things she can focus on, like school?
