How to fix dog eye discharge

Age related tearing- sometimes things just wear out and start to leak. Dirty eyes can cause inflammatory response. Clean is healthy.
Don't be lazy... care fur your pet as you care fur yourself!

I cleared both matted eyes of mucus so I could see the eyes . See they are both red and I made an appointment tomorrow for my tiny dog.
I was shaking of fear so bad .
A salt water cloth warm compress helped.

We got our schnauzer/poodle mix from the dog rescue in Colorado.
Apparently in Mexico she was at one point a house dog, and later on a street dog.

That means that for some time she was abandoned and exposed to god knows what. I just hope it’s not an eye infection from another dog.

In any case, I simply started by trimming the hair around her eyes, and then I used cotton balls with warm water to clean her up, as the discharge on her snout is very brown, sticky and in copious amounts.

If the discharging doesn’t reduce overtime, I will definitely take her to the vet.

My baby often gets white eye discharge daily. I remember when I first got him, his mother was in bad shape. Thank you for you explanation, my dog seems to be alright, he’s eating drinking playing, but I can see that his eye is a little bit pinkysh and he’s having discharge on both eyes for about 3 days...
