Japan Once Had Real Kaiju

Today Japan is known for anime, good food, and everything kawaii, but once upon a time not only was it not kawaii, it was also one of the worst places you could find yourself on the entire planet, as it seemed to be collecting nightmarish animals like Pokémon.

The way you said “kawaii” at 0:47 sounded like “kowai, ” which means “scary” in Japanese, in which case, these dinosaurs were actually VERY kowai

If i ever "run into" a dinosaur, my first thought isnt going to be "i wonder what type of raptor that is"
Im going to be thinking about how being eaten is going to feel like being in a slow blender.

Japanese paleofauna are so underrated.
Have for years been planning to do a short film on it someday

I’m still waiting for you to create the third channel that is focused on speculative evolution, cryptozoology, creatures from mythology and folklore, bestiaries and fictional creatures from all forms of media!

This whole video, especially the dinosaur samurai segment, reminds me of Kyoryū, that dinosaur game that’s gonna come out soon along with a animated series. I can’t wait for it to come.

0:11 "Loveable giant kamehameha-breathing monster" I, as both DB fans and Godzilla fans, can't get this line out of my head now.

Also, if possible, can you make a video about dinosaurs in Thailand?

If Godzilla is fictional then why are there so many documentaries on his effects on Japan?

The Fukui Dinosaur Museum is one of the coolest places I've been to in Japan. Highly recommend.

Japan having a proper munted ecosystem is quite surprising, I guess Australia and Argentina have some competition.

Interesting that Japan had three large theropods, this seems to be an unusual dinosaur roster. The megaraptorian is the one I find most interesting, never even heard of "blood grooves" before, but make sense in context.

2:40 I think this title should go to whoever made My Little Sister Can't Be Thus Cute

Imagine living millions of years ago, terrifying life itself, spreading all this horror, only for a Japanese anime company to turn it into "kawaii" content. Ig Godzilla will seem the only redemption to the ancient creatures at that point.

Such a funny title, it's like naming the vid on the Western Interior Seaway "New Mexico Before Breaking Bad"

Video Idea
1) Tyranotitan Chubutensis
2) Insular india ( it might have had the last living synapsids )
Also on a side note you changed the thumbnail within the first 30 minutes .
