Our W864 washer cost £550 20yrs ago. It has lived in the garage and goes almost every day incl regular boil washes. Still looks brand new. I have only replaced X1 set of motor brushes, X1 door Seal, shock absorbers, toothed motor belt costing a total of about £150 in labor. It has earned a replacement.

Newer Miele use crappy parts like TNY2XX power IC for standby power rail. It will blow out in few years, and the distributor will only replace the whole controller board. It costs more than $700 for the replacement in Taiwan, and the cycle begins.

Our old Meile lasted 18 years with a few repairs BUT our new Miele is an expensive disaster . It's so difficult to use and stops all the time and the cycles fail, everything about Miele is so hard to understand and hard to use , hard to get good service even their web sit is a confusing mess and I can't even find a manual . Just trying to work out which is the serial number is so hard also. This new machine has finished me with Miele products and I will never buy one ever again . Can't wait to get rid of this machine it's so annoying .

No washing machine should be this bloody complicated!!! Can someone tell me how to use the Passion washer W1 with regular powder detergent? How do you know how much powder detergent to use?

Also, ALL I want to be able to do is chose either a NORMAL wash or a delicate wash with either hot, warm, or cold water. In other words, I want to know how to use these machines like a normal washing machine without all of these programmes.
