Since it snowed over by Route 395, we decided to head north instead, taking Road 70 and finding ourselves surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Although it’s far from late autumn here, and the weather fluctuated between clear skies and clouds, we drove along the Feather River, with every turn revealing something worth looking forward to. Some parts of the river were rushing and turbulent, while others lay still as if mirroring a lake. The reflection of autumn leaves on the bright water deepened the sense of fall with each stretch. Along the riverside, we found spots for soaking in natural hot springs and places to camp and rest—a hidden paradise, a precious discovery for us in this quiet autumn season.
