A person can be honest, truthful, loving and Christian. "Interesting style! Not mine, but you put it together so well."

I had a friend who would habitually start picking tiny bits of fluff up off my carpet and then would ask 'where's the bin?' the second she entered my place. I trained her out of the habit by just bringing it to her conscious attention as something she needed to do and giving her a bin - she didn't do it for long. Some folks see other people's homes as extensions of their own.

construction worker or not, that is damn rude! I hate it when people think they have a right to make a comment about someone else's home. everyone has different tastes and views their home differently.

I remember when it was my son's birthday party. I have 4 male kids and had been rushing round trying to get the children ready, house tidy etc. kitchen was where where set the food up and I had some washing up, maybe two bowls and some laundry on top of my tumble dryer that needed taking up. my friend came in and exclaimed "wow! Look at all this! This needs tidying in here!" I was really upset as I was doing 5 things at once, there was washing up and laundry not rubbish and broken glass, but she offered to help. So fine and thank you. It took half an hour to get sorted then she says "ok, now we need to take ALL THIS somewhere else!"
confused, I turned round and she was behind my kitchen door, which is just to the side of the corner. she wanted me to take my hoover, mop and broom somewhere else... you can't see it unless you shut the kitchen door and it's never been shut since we've lived here, but for 5 minutes she argued with me that and my son's drawers of homeschooling equipment needed to go somewhere else. it went from helping me to tidying to rearranging my house half an hour before 20 guests arrive!
Another time she was over just for a cup of tea and a chat when she decided I "needed to get rid of half of my clothes and MOST of those toys, you have too many. why does the baby need so many trousers? he doesn't need that many." ( he does, she's aware that I have to change him three times a day.)
She has a very minimalistic house, her and her husband work and they have 2 school age children, so aren't in the house much. whereas I have 4 boys, 2 cats and myself, and I like beautiful things on windowsills, shelves etc. my house isn't perfect but it's my home and Sometimes I want to go into her empty house and say "you need to get some shelves up and buy some pretty things to put on them! it's far too tidy in here! it doesn't look like anyone lives here!"

Grr rant over. this one touched a nerve obviously lol.

This guy does not want to go to these people's houses! It's his way of getting to stay home, chill and watch the game! You go out honey! :)

I always tell my friends what I think when they ask my opinion and they are glad that I tell them the truth

That’s why I don’t have people at my house. My house is my safe haven and I don’t need nobody judging it.

Some people have the idea that because you are a Christian you got to be perfect and that’s unrealistic, we are normal people just like everyone else, I’m a Christian and I always say was in my mind it just a matter of how you say things.

This is exactly my mother! Plus she wants to control everything and everyone around her. I moved to another country long time ago and even that doesn't stop her. A lot of our relatives stopped speaking to her few years I'm sick of her, too.

Steve, this time I can't agree with you. For me the most important thing about a friendship is honesty. If you're dishonest, you ain't no friend of mine. Easy. The thing is, the truth might be told rudely, but it also might be told in a way that causes no harm. You can't tell me that I will not have any friends because of honesty! How can you ever depend on somebody who lies to you? Or how can you ever trust this person?
