The visit is Modi's first since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine and since he was returned to power last month as leader of the world's most populous country.

I'm a critic of a lot of Mr Modi's internal policies but in foreign affairs he is handling them very well. In fact as a centrist politically I prefer Modi's foreign affairs over the Congress-led government foreign affairs.

Indian here, West need not to worry that India will go to Russian side and that Russia's side will become stronger. India is an emerging and rapidly progressing country, instead of joining Western block or Russo-China block India have the stature of making its own block.
And just as USA goes to any extent to fulfill its national interests India will fulfill its national interests too.

And yeah don't worry we Indians do not support war We support peace and India being a democracy will support what its citizens support.
