I had been a very busy four months. But it was a great time with many sold-out shows in Japan, performances in Hong Kong, and many guest appearances on radio/TV shows and things like that✌

This is my warm up piece before I go to the Guitar Beginners Class.

That was nothing short of spectacular, capturing the groove, the swing, the harmonic complexity, all the signature moments and licks, and the sly joy of this great record and a band full of virtuosos. A complete triumph of arrangement and performance!

It's a beautiful thing to see someone your age with such virtuosity

Mr Donald Fagen is a perfectionist, a curmudgeons, and a musical genius ... and I'm sure HE would be blown away! I sincerely hope he sees this.

Damn, man. You just go from strength to strength, don't you? I hope Donald Fagen sees this - I think he'd be amazed and impressed.

That's the perfect One Man Band. If I close my eyes I can see them three 😎

The win is that the genius of Steely Dan lives on in the soul of guys like this.

Kent Nishimura simply one of the greatest solo guitarist of all time

Amazing. Clearly, no one was honest with Kent when he was learning guitar and told him this was impossible. (smile)

Again, Steely Dan is hard enough playing with all the instruments. Well done.

This is one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen on guitar and I’ve been playing for 11 years. The complexity of the arrangement and the degree of accuracy you’re hitting those notes and percussive hits is just immaculate

i remembefr someone did a reaction vid to one of kens covers and came up with the crazyass idea that he developed his technique then sought out songs that fit it. smfh. absurd. he's simply a master playing tunes he likes.

Such awesome work. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Way back when, in '67

I was the dandy of Gamma Chi

Sweet things from Boston
So young and willing

Moved down to Scarsdale
Where the hell am I?
Hey Nineteen

No, we can't dance together (We can't dance together)
No, we can't talk at all
Please take me along when you slide on down

Hey Nineteen
That's 'Retha Franklin

She don't remember the Queen of Soul

It's hard times befallen
The sole survivors

She thinks I'm crazy
But I'm just growing old
Hey Nineteen

No, we got nothing in common (We can't dance together)
No, we can't talk at all
Please take me along when you slide on down

Nice

Sure looks good

Mmm, mmm, mmm

Skate a little lower, now

The Cuervo Gold
The fine Colombian
Make tonight a wonderful thing (Say it again)

The Cuervo Gold
The fine Colombian
Make tonight a wonderful thing

The Cuervo Gold
The fine Colombian
Make tonight a wonderful thing

No we can't dance together
No we can't talk at all

Steely Dan as a band was miraculously complicated and groovy. Playing this song like this defies all explanation. I literally can't believe what I'm seeing and hearing.

It is really fortunate that Kent is here with us, while we are still alive

I'm guessing by the way Kent was REALLY grooving along with this he's a huge Steely Dan fan.

Apart from the physical prowess, the voicings of the chords he plays are spot on. As a guitar player, I am totally intimidated by this guy!

After this one...I just can't imagine how Kent would play glamour profession from the same album!!!

I predict that at some point in the future Kent will become the youngest member of the select group of Certified Guitar Players. What a talent!

Kent's success isn't based just on technique, but also on his remarkable sensitivity to good music from many genres.
