Green Day: Catchy as hell. No wonder why they're one of the best bands in genre.
Blink 182: Catchy but more Pop oriented. One of my favorite bands.
The Offspring: Punk how its meant to be played. The Offsprings riffs are creative due to variety of styles they play. IMO: They Win.
Sum 41: More Metal oriented. Their riffs are criminally underrated, particularly those from 2004 "Chuck" album.

A band with Mike Dirnt on the bass, Travis Baker on the Drums, Dave Baksh with the incredible riffs on the guitar and the power of Dexter Holland voice. The best band on the planet!

Sum 41 sounds more metal than the other pop punk bands. Some of the offspring riffs kinda sound metal as well but I like all pop punk bands.

Always preferred Sum41 especially as a metal head. They released a Thrash Metal album in Chuck and have gone heavy in their last few albums.

The kids aren’t alright beats everything else hands down! Self esteem too! Sum 41 very underrated. Green day up until 2002 ish was quality! Blink is blink! Catchy as hell! Although not the same without Tom!

"The Kids Aren't Alright" and "Come Out and Play" are so sonically pleasing to my ear while also shredding at the same time. Always loved The Offspring. That riff for "Wannabe" is absolutely great too.
