Heading a research program out of the University of Wyoming’s Department of Molecular Biology, he focuses on how organisms survive in extreme environments. Using tardigrades that can survive many extremes, including being completely desiccated (dried out), his team are developing technologies from these organisms that will allow life-saving medicines to be stored dry.
